Lancet supported the International Conference

The conference was attended by about 200 representatives of the scientific community from Russia, near and far-abroad countries - Belarus, Armenia, France, Austria, Germany, Portugal, Bulgaria.
The conference was organized by the International Society for Clinical Hemorheology (ISCH), Lomonosov Moscow State University, Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University n.a. K.D. Ushinsky, Yaroslavl State Medical University.
The conference included plenary lectures, symposia, poster presentations, exhibitions, where the results of basic and clinical research in the field of microcirculation and hemorheology were presented.
In particular, a number of the presented works were devoted to the identification of signs of prediction of strokes and heart attacks, which opens up prospects for the development of methods for preclinical diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases. Experts also focused on the development of methods for identifying certain types of cancer by blood cells.
Mechanisms of pathogenesis of cardiovascular morbidities in patients after undergoing chemotherapy were discussed. The relevance of the topic is associated with improving the quality of diagnosis and treatment of cancer and the increase in the number of cured patients, which is why the development of cardiovascular diseases in patients after chemotherapy steps forward to one of main places.
Sharing ideas and results of experiments at expert sites has practical value for health. Scientific research forms the basis for the development of promising breakthrough directions in Russian and world medicine, the development of new effective methods and innovative medicines. It is no coincidence that the conference is held under the slogan “Clinic and experiment: from a laboratory to the patient's bed”.
Participation in the implementation of educational and scientific projects in the field of healthcare is one of the traditions of Lancet JSC and a manifestation of its socially responsible position. Thus, in 2018, the company initiated and supported more than 200 projects for healthcare professionals of all levels - international, national, regional.
